We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a well-established public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals. This role is ideal for a tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who is looking to expand their expertise in tax compliance, planning, and client advisory services.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in tax preparation and consulting , enjoys building lasting client relationships, and is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals.
- Prepare complex individual tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients.
- Research tax laws and regulations to support compliance and tax planning strategies.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and resolve tax-related matters.
- Ensure timely, accurate filing of tax returns while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Partner with firm leadership on tax planning, consulting engagements, and special projects.
- Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality.
- Prepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Stay current on tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on tax.
- Extensive experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns.
- Tax experience must significantly outweigh audit or assurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with a client-service mindset.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
