TERMS OF SERVICE

The deal, in plain words

Short version: you upload a CV, Otto finds roles that fit and — when you say so — applies for you. Here's the fine print behind that, effective 29 August 2026.

1 · What Otto is

Otto Roles ("Otto", "we") matches your CV against live job openings and, at your instruction, completes and submits job applications on your behalf. By using ottoroles.com you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

2 · Your account

You must be at least 16 and the person the CV describes. Keep your sign-in method (your inbox, your Google account) secure — anyone who controls it controls your Otto account. One account per person.

3 · Your CV stays yours

You own everything you upload. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit it for exactly one purpose: running the service — parsing it, matching it, and sending it with applications you ask for. That permission ends when your data is deleted.

4 · Applying on your behalf

When you press apply, you authorise Otto to act as your agent for that application: filling the employer's form with your information, attaching your CV, and answering screening questions from what you've provided. You're responsible for that information being true — an application Otto submits is your application, with the same consequences as if you'd typed it yourself.

Otto refuses to guess: questions needing facts you haven't given (visa status, salary expectations, references), demographic questions, and CAPTCHAs all stop the automation and come back to you with a link.

5 · Employers are not us

Employers' application systems have their own terms, and hiring decisions are theirs alone. Otto doesn't control whether a posting is accurate, stays open, or replies — we verify what we can (like whether a role is still accepting applications) but promise nothing on an employer's behalf, and no affiliation with any employer or applicant-tracking system is implied.

6 · No promises about outcomes

Matching is done by machine-learning models. They're good, and they're not perfect: a match can be wrong, a score can flatter, a description can hide a dealbreaker. Otto is provided "as is", may change, and guarantees neither interviews nor offers. Review what Otto shows you before relying on it.

7 · Fair use

Don't submit false information, impersonate someone else, apply on behalf of another person, probe or overload the service, or use it to harvest job or employer data. We can suspend accounts that do.

8 · Leaving

Stop any time. Email support@ottoroles.com to delete your account and data. We may retire features or the service with reasonable notice to active users.

9 · Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows: we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including missed job opportunities), and our total liability for anything arising from the service is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the previous twelve months or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10 · Housekeeping

If part of these terms turns out unenforceable, the rest stands. These terms are governed by the law of the place where the service operator is established, and disputes belong to the courts there. When the terms change in substance, the date above changes and signed-in users are told.
