We are seeking mission-minded, highly relational, and responsible coordinators who enjoy meeting new people, planning social activities, and helping people experience God's unconditional love. Coordinators get to partake in doing "business as a ministry" by faithfully weaving together excellence in business with loving their neighbors well.
Important Details:
- This role is part time serving 1 community located in Phoenix, AZ near North Mountain Park.
- This position can be performed either Onsite (living at the community for a rent discount) or Offsite (paid hourly). Please indicate which role you prefer in the application.
- If Offsite, the coordinator will be paid to serve hourly for 16 hours per month at $20 per hour. Offsite roles are done by an individual coordinator.
- If Onsite, the coordinator(s) will living onsite and serve for 12 hours per week and receive a significant rent discount. Onsite roles can be done by an individual or a team of 2.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- _Plan and host several events each month_ for the residents in the apartment community with the purpose of caring for and connecting with residents, connecting residents to one another and to services or local businesses in the wider community
- _Provide a caring touch_ to residents and staff with the help of other residents and a network of community support
- _Enhance online reputation_ by inviting residents to share online about their experience in the community
- _Develop marketing material _for the activities such as monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts
- _Manage the event budget process_
- _Prepare monthly summaries_
- _Meet with staff and program director_ for planning, equipping, and development
- _Engage a support team_ of volunteers, vendors, and other community partners to maximize impact
- _Visit_ new residents shortly after they move-in and/or residents who are near the end of their lease to connect with them
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous event planning experience
- Experience working within a budget
- Some relevant experience using social media
- Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners
