Technical Buyer (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• _Procure direct materials, components, and services based on production requirements and forecasts_
• _Collaborate and communicate with internal departments (such as Engineering, Production, Testing and Quality) to ensure clear understanding of technical specifications and company requirements_
• _Promptly process requests for quotes, requisitions and purchase orders_
• _Develop sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management_
• _Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms with a win-win approach, both at a technical and commercial level_
• _Monitor delivery schedules and purchase order due dates to ensure timely receipt of direct materials_
• _Assess and manage supplier performance, assess delivery risks and initiate continuous improvement programs_
• _Provide exceptional service and support to internal stakeholders, including production, planning, and quality teams_
• _Support with the arrangement of logistics by coordinating with nominated carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders as required_

Qualification Checklist

• _Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the field of “turned and machined parts” or similar areas_
• _At least 3 years of experience in purchasing machined components and mechanical assemblies in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industries_
• _Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sometimes of a complex nature_
• _Comprehensive understanding of construction materials such as composite materials, alloys, and machined parts_
• _Ability to plan and meet project deadlines_
• _Strong negotiation skills and influence_
• _Professional proficiency in German and English_
