HR Intern

Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is looking for a highly talented HR Intern to join our team at our Cape Town Central Office. Requirements: Qualifications & Experience: N6 certificate in Human Resource Management. The skills we need:

• Computer Literacy
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Data interpretation and presentation.
• Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills

Key responsibilities:

• Support the onboarding and induction process for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the team.
• Help maintain and update employee records and HR information systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide general administrative support across the HR and operations function.
• Maintain and update various operational trackers, spreadsheets, and employee records with a high degree of accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the business to support HR and operational objectives.
• Assist with the preparation of HR reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and help coordinate internal events and wellness programmes.

Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation.

• Assist with administrative support for disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.

This is an 18-month contract position.
