The pay is a base salary + commissions.
**The Strategic Accounts Manager owns a defined book of business within an assigned vertical
and is responsible for both retaining and expanding existing accounts while actively hunting for new business. This role focuses on consistent sales activity, accurate forecasting, and building early-stage and existing customer relationships. The SAM is accountable for hitting performance and activity benchmarks while driving growth through disciplined execution.
- Own and manage a defined book of business within the Medical vertical, primarily calling on physicians (MD/DO), nurse practitioners (NP), and physician assistants (PA), as well as other healthcare practitioners and medical specialties.
- Identify and close new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and lead follow-up.
- Maintain and exceed weekly sales activity benchmarks (calls, meetings, follow-up).
- Accurately forecast revenue on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Conduct virtual product presentations and sales consultations.
- Execute sales cadences and campaigns to engage prospects and customers.
- Track and update all activity in CRM to maintain pipeline visibility.
- Recommend product solutions based on customer needs and purchase history.
- Support account onboarding and ensure early-stage and existing customer engagement.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to share insights from customer interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
- Experience, competency, and ability in sales required.
- CRM/ Sales Reporting software experience required.
- Preferred experience selling into the Medical vertical.
- Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.
- Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred.
- Persuasive and goal oriented.
- Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client.
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close.
