About the Role

Vilgain is doubling in size every year — and our IT infrastructure needs to keep up. Until now, IT has been managed by an external partner. We're looking for our first dedicated IT hire: someone who will take full ownership of IT operations, build the function from scratch, and lay the groundwork for a secure, scalable infrastructure that supports our next stage of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll manage the day-to-day, drive strategic decisions, and start building your own team.

What you will do (Responsibilities)

• Take full ownership of company IT as the first dedicated IT hire — set up processes, establish standards, and define how IT operates at Vilgain.
• Manage user access across core platforms — Slack, Google Workspace, and other internal tools — ensuring security and efficiency.
• Oversee and maintain warehouse and retail devices — printers, scanners, and endpoint hardware — to ensure reliable daily operations.
• Manage the relationship with the external IT partner and collaborate on server and active network component maintenance.
• Design and implement a secure, smart, and scalable IT infrastructure for the future, in close collaboration with leadership.
• Drive internal security awareness — provide training and best practices to ensure the whole company operates safely.
• Support company expansion — lead IT setup for new warehouses, offices, and stores as Vilgain grows.
• Build and lead your own IT team as the function grows.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, IT Support, or a similar hands-on IT role.
• Fluent Czech and English — both written and spoken — required for this role.
• Experience designing and maintaining IT infrastructure — both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of IT security standards, access management, and best practices.
• Hands-on attitude combined with a strategic mindset — you can fix a printer and plan an infrastructure roadmap in the same week.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating with external IT partners.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift quickly.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
