The National Account Manager (NAM) leads Red Bull’s sales strategy across a defined portfolio of national customers and is accountable for customer relationships, sales performance, and trade spend management. This role drives growth by advancing Red Bull’s long-term sales drivers, including maximizing distribution, expanding shelf presence, securing equipment placement, delivering off-shelf displays, and improving promotional efficiency and effectiveness. Success requires strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, disciplined business planning, and effective trade spend management. The NAM must communicate and present with confidence to customers, internal stakeholders, and distributor partners. Given the strength of Red Bull’s DSD model and its ability to execute quickly at store level, strong attention to detail and consistent follow-up are essential.
Key responsibilities include owning national account budgets and sales results; building productive relationships with senior customer stakeholders and distributor partners; and contributing to the development of strategies, standards, and best practices that strengthen distribution, visibility, and execution across key accounts.
EXECUTES NATIONAL ACCOUNT PLANS
Develops and executes short- and long-term account strategies aligned with company priorities, customer opportunities, market conditions, and available resources.
Advances Red Bull’s long-term sales drivers to deliver annual business plans.
Creates best-in-class execution examples within the assigned account base.
Monitors market trends and maintains competitive intelligence for key accounts.
Maintains regular business reviews, trade visits, and ongoing contact with the account base.
Builds and develops strong relationships across all levels of the customers organization.
MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL KEY ACCOUNTS
Leads the development and growth of national Off Premise key accounts.
Builds and strengthens relationships with key Off Premise chain accounts by creating value through innovative customer programs and activities.
Secures strategic visibility agreements that support consistent product placement across multiple locations.
Evaluates account-level ROI and establishes clear benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of customer investments.
BUDGETS/ANNUAL PLANNING
Supports the development of annual account plans, including volume targets, trade spend requirements, and customer investment priorities.
Manages and delivers annual volume and trade spend plans with disciplined ownership and accountability.
Develops annual Customer Marketing Agreements with the assigned account base to support business objectives and customer priorities.
BUSINESS ANALYSIS
Analyzes ROI for distribution and visibility agreements and shares key learnings to improve future customer investments.
Partners with Field Teams to review post-promotion performance, distribution opportunities, equipment execution, and in-store standards.
Regularly analyzes Nielsen data, customer-specific off-take data, and internal sales results to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities across the account base.
MARKET EXECUTION
Attends regional Cell and Distributor meetings to understand local market dynamics, customer needs, and execution priorities.
Organizes account meetings to align on sales strategy, share best practices, and identify category management opportunities.
Conducts in-store audits with key business stakeholders to assess execution quality, identify gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Participates in national NAM business and training meetings to align on priorities, share learnings, and build capability across the team.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3–6 years of sales management and key account experience, with a proven track record of delivering results; CPG experience preferred.
French language proficiency is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of relevant retail landscapes, particularly within the Grocery channel.
Category management experience is considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with confidence influencing at multiple levels of an organization.
Analytical, innovative, and solution-oriented, with the ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
Strong attention to detail, with disciplined follow-through on execution, commitments, and customer deliverables.
Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience is considered an asset.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build clear analyses and compelling customer-facing presentations.
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $123,500 to $136,500. The actual base salary for this position will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and work location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of Red Bull’s bonus plan.
