ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group is currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a CFD Analyst who will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery , a large-scale energy storage solution, with flow and heat-transfer simulation for scrubber, piping, cold-weather, and altitude-related work.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop CFD models for scrubber vessel concepts, integrated ducting, outlet filtration, piping, fittings, and baffles.
- Assess flow rate, pressure drop, flowback risk, thermal impacts, and distribution uniformity.
- Support altitude and cold-weather design assessments using available requirements and test results.
- Perform design iterations and recommend geometry or component changes.
- Document model setup, assumptions, mesh independence, results, risks, and validation needs.
Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
- 5+ years of CFD or thermal-fluids analysis experience.
- Hands-on experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent.
- Internal-flow CFD, pressure drop, flow distribution, recirculation, multiphase awareness, and thermal/heat-transfer analysis.
- Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
- Mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary-condition definition, convergence assessment, and result verification.
- Flow balancing for ducts, baffles, vessels, piping, fittings, scrubber systems, pumps, and heaters.
English level B2–C1.
Desirable Skills
Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in energy storage systems (e.g., batteries, iron-air technology).
- Familiarity with large-scale mechanical or industrial projects.
Software and Tools:
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems (e.g., TeamCenter, Windchill).
