Essel Environmental is seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our team. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
_Project Types:_ Wet/Dry Underground Utilities, Infrastructure
_Responsibilities:_
\- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
\- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards
\- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
\- Provide safety training to employees on various topics including OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures
\- Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents
\- Collaborate with management to ensure a safe work environment
Requirements
\- Education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
\- Proven experience working in safety compliance, risk management, or related field
\- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
\- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\- Certification in EHS or related field is a plus
