As a Supervisor VAT Consultant at Grant Thornton Belgium, you remain strongly involved in client work while supporting the team in a task-oriented way.

What does a Supervisor VAT Consultant at Grant Thornton do?

As a key technical point of contact , you support clients and help ensure the quality of the team’s output.

• You provide high-quality VAT advice to national and international clients, mainly SMEs and mid-sized organisations.

• You work on more complex VAT projects , such as VAT implementations, optimisations, regularisations and VAT reviews.
• You are closely involved in Belgian and international VAT compliance , including preparation, review and follow-up of VAT returns and related filings.
• You support clients during VAT audits and inspections , assisting in communication with the VAT authorities and follow-up actions.
• You review the work of junior consultants and provide clear, practical feedback on specific assignments.
• You coordinate daily tasks within engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met (without people management responsibility).
• You work autonomously on your files, while knowing when to escalate matters to Managers or Partners.
• You collaborate closely with colleagues within the VAT team and with other service lines.
