Histology Technician - Boca Raton, FL

US Path Labs has an opportunity for a Histology Technician in our dynamic and fast growing dermatopathology lab located in Boca Raton, FL.

To join our team, you _must_ be HT or HTL ASCP certified, and Florida licensed, with the ability to precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques. We are looking for a positive and eager team player.

This is an in-person, full-time position.

New, _licensed_ grads are welcome!

• Prepare tissue samples by fixing, staining, dying, trimming, and other methods.
• Identify and document technical issues, quality assurance, and procedural improvements.
• Use, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, and keep a clean, disinfected work space.
• Receive, log, and document patient specimens and accompanying forms.

• The person should be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist.
• Experience working in a lab is almost always a must, as this is a critical part of the job.
• For new grads with positive attitudes and eagerness to learn, we will gladly assist in training.

Job Type:

• Full-time
• Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years current Histology experience (Preferred)
• May take newer, licensed candidates under 2 years of experience
• Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.

Education:

• AS/BS in Biological/Physical Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications/Licenses:

• HT or HTL ASCP certified and Florida licensed (Required)
