What You’ll Be Doing:

• _Manage commercial contracts, procurement, and negotiations in an NEC environment._
• _Lead post-contract commercial activities, including payment approvals, cost assessments, and contract changes._
• _Support contractors in keeping everything transparent and data-driven._
• _Identify cost-saving strategies and optimize contract performance._
• _Support key decision-making with data-driven cost management insights._
• _The individual will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project_
• _To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances_
• _To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures_
• _Comply with established commercial/procurement/ contractual strategies_
• _Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards_
• _Individually or as part of a team operate processes for the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractors_
• _Procurement including: providing advice on procurement strategy, assembling and seeking agreement to long and short tender lists. Preparing and issuing tender documents. Running a competitive tender process including managing queries from tendering contractors. Managing and contributing to documented tender evaluations._
• _Scrutinising and verifying applications for interim payments_
• _Preparing certificates_
• _Managing change control in accordance with contracts_
• _Producing cost reports and cost forecasting_
• _Assisting Project Managers in preparing Early Warnings, Instructions and Compensation Events_
• _Attending progress meetings_
• _Promote commercial awareness throughout project_
• _Support formal dispute resolution process and contract close out strategy as required_

What We’re Looking For:

• _ Proven expertise in quantity surveying, procurement, and/or estimating, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects._
• _ Degree-qualified, with chartered status (MRICS) or actively working towards it._
• _ Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and infrastructure cost management._
• _ A collaborative, proactive approach — we value clear communicators and adaptable thinkers._
• _ Ability to balance site travel with flexible, balanced working._
• _ A drive to contribute, lead, and grow within a global consultancy._
