Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer at Waracle, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and care behind the digital products we build. Operating at an independent, impactful level, you will design and run thoughtful test journeys based on project requirements. If you enjoy collaborating across teams, building out automated testing frameworks, and helping welcome and support new team members, you will thrive in this role.
- Test Design: Designing and running tests independently, assessing the risk of code and configuration changes using product personas to guide user journeys.
- Automation Engineering: Building and maintaining regression automation packs and configuring them to run within CI pipelines for timely feedback.
- Observability: Using logs and dashboards to investigate issues and validate system health during the testing lifecycle.
- NFR Execution: Executing scripted and manual tests across non-functional areas (Security, Performance, Accessibility) using standard tools.
- Stakeholder Communication: Providing concise status updates in stand-ups and explaining complex QA issues in accessible language for non-technical audiences.
- Process Improvement: Implementing local process enhancements and evaluating new tools or techniques to improve team efficiency.
- Collaboration: Managing QA tasks independently and supporting the onboarding of new team members into the squad’s QA workflows.
