Your New Role
- Work as an Electrical Estimator in Colorado, supporting small to medium-sized commercial and residential electrical projects
- Attend bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and pre-bid conferences
- Review RFPs, electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics to determine project scope
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates, bids, proposals, and material takeoffs
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop competitive project pricing
- Build estimates using historical cost data and electrical estimating software
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for scope, accuracy, and competitive pricing
- Prepare and manage electrical change orders throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain organized estimating documentation, bid records, and project information
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents throughout bidding and preconstruction
- Help improve electrical estimating processes while maintaining compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local building codes
