Manager, Strategy and Performance

Manager - Strategy & Performance role is part of the regional Chief Retail Officer organizational structure. The role involves analyzing talabat’s business performance, preparing data-driven insights for senior management, conducting in-depth market analyses to unlock topline and bottom-line opportunities, leading special projects, and ensuring talabat is on track to hit PnL targets.

> Strategic Leadership & Planning

• _Vision Execution: Translate Group-level goals into localized Grocery and Retail strategies for various markets. _
• _Annual Budgeting & OKRs: Lead the annual and quarterly planning cycles, setting aggressive yet realistic targets for revenue, cost, and market share._
• _Market Expansion: Evaluate new business opportunities, market entries, or service line extensions (e.g., talabat mart)._

> Reporting Performance Management

• _Analyze Data: Dive into talabat’s performance metrics, identifying key trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement._
• _Prepare Reports: Create comprehensive and insightful reports for senior management, highlighting key drivers of change and actionable insights._
• _Communicate Findings: Present findings in a clear and concise manner, often translating complex data into understandable recommendations for decision-makers._

> Conducting Analytical Deep Dives

• _Country-Specific Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of different talabat markets, focusing on identifying turnaround opportunities, growth and profitability areas._
• _Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to understand and address cross-functional issues impacting business performance._
• _Strategy Development: Develop and recommend strategies based on analysis to improve overall performance and achieve business objectives._

> Special projects:

• _Launching new products: Develop business use cases with innovative ideas and bring them to life by working on their implementation, ensuring they align with strategic goals and add value to the business._

> PnL management:

• _Budgeting: Collaborate with local teams to develop talabat’s yearly budget, setting growth and profitability goals._
• _PnL management: Ensure that budgets are adhered to consistently across the organization and proactively identify and pursue opportunities to exceed financial targets and enhance overall profitability._

WHAT DID WE ORDER?

_Preferred candidates will be: _

• _Bachelor's Degree from a reputed institution and in related field (MBA is a plus)_
• _5+ years of professional experience within the food delivery, e-commerce or management consulting industries (Past experience in subscription-focused business is a plus) _
• _Strong finance acumen; experience in P &L analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, business impact analysis _
• _Expertise with data tools: Big Query, SQL, Lookr etc._
• _Strong analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written)_
• _Experience with PowerPoint and Excel And/ Or Google Slides/ Sheets._
• _Strong track-record of problem-solving, including structuring problems, performing detailed analysis, and translating data into actionable insights._
• _Proven experience in stakeholder management, relationship management, or similar roles within the food tech industry or related sectors._
• _Experience working closely with cross-functional teams is a plus _
