Electrician

Job Purpose:

Oversee the service, repair, modification, and upkeep of access control and related systems.

Description of Duties and Tasks:

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain security access control systems.

2. Perform service and installation of cables, wires, and accessories for access control and related systems.

3. Supervise technicians to ensure the timely completion of preventative maintenance and service tickets.

4. Assist clients with walkthroughs and address questions regarding access control systems.

5. Evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot cables and access control devices as needed.

6. Configure admin and user accounts, including credentials for various departments.

7. Train new hires and existing technicians on the preventative maintenance process.

8. Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.

9. Schedule preventative maintenance tasks for technicians using tracking software and provide weekly status reports.

10. Work hours are during the third shift (overnight).

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of cable and wiring installation for security systems.
• Ability to supervise and train technicians effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Proficiency in using tracking software for scheduling and reporting.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts.
