Cashier

About the Role

Our client is a market leader in the wholesale and retail distributive industry, specializing in high-quality and original brands of beverages around Kiambu and Muranga environs.

The Cashier will be responsible for customer or client payments, processing wholesale or retail transactions, and reconciling daily sales records using a Point of Sale (POS) system, receiving payments and issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions.

📍 Location Note: This role is based in Kenya, in the Kiambu/Muranga region.

📅 Deadline: 15th October 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Process transactions using cash registers, credit/debit cards, mobile money, and digital wallet payments
• Match physical goods or dispatch notes with system-generated invoices before collecting payment
• Count cash drawers at the start and end of shifts, balancing totals against POS/ERP system daily reports
• Address billing queries, issue valid receipts or credit notes, and resolve customer complaints
• Flag any stock or pricing mismatches and cash shortages immediately to management

Required Qualifications:

• CPA intermediate level (Section 4), Diploma in Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of proven cash-handling or teller/cashier experience in a busy wholesale or retail environment
• Strong numerical accuracy, high integrity, basic computer and ERP/POS/Cash Register proficiency
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
