Operations Officer – Acquiring

We are looking for an Operations Officer – Acquiring who will support merchant onboarding, POS and payment gateway deployment, operational reporting, and the resolution of merchant-related requests and technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the merchant portal, support merchant registration, and approve new merchant accounts.
• Coordinate the timely deployment of POS devices and payment gateway services.
• Follow up on merchant onboarding and other acquiring-related operational requests.
• Provide operational and technical support to merchants and the Sales Department.
• Investigate delays related to POS delivery and coordinate the required solutions.
• Prepare accurate operational and transaction reports for banks, the Central Bank of Iraq, and internal stakeholders.
• Use Tableau to generate and distribute reports to clients and relevant departments.
• Support Verto users and assist with system-related requests when needed.
• Raise and follow up on Zoho tickets until issues are fully resolved.
• Escalate complex operational or technical issues to the Senior Acquiring Officer.
• Assist in delivering training on acquiring procedures to clients and new team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in electronic banking, merchant acquiring, or electronic payment solutions.
• Good understanding of merchant onboarding, POS devices, and payment gateway operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT applications.
• Experience with Zoho, Tableau, merchant portals, or reporting platforms is an advantage.
• Strong customer service, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of Arabic and English.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and time-sensitive operational environment.
