This diverse driving role includes _planning delivery routes, transporting deliveries to customers, and transferring materials between our locations_ — making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role also requires maintaining maintenance and safety standards while providing world-class customer service while on delivery sites.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Driver, your role supports day-to-day operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

_Delivery and Transportation _

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers.
• Customer job site and warehouse delivery

_Vehicle Maintenance & Safety_

• Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections for mechanical items and safety issues
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
• Comply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

_Customer Service_

• Communicate effectively with team members to fulfill orders and resolve issues
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with customers on deliveries

Requirements

What we are looking for…

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid CDL license
• Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment
• Strong customer service skills
• Moffit & forklift experience is a plus
