Eram Talent is seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer – Systems to support a leading organization in Saudi Arabia. The role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Niagara4-based Building Automation Systems and Integrated Fire Alarm Automation Systems , ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain Niagara4-based Integrated Automation Systems (IKAS) and Integrated Fire Alarm Automation Systems (IFAS).
- Prepare daily system functionality and health reports.
- Investigate and resolve system alarms, faults, and failures, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Create and manage Niagara user accounts according to approved access levels.
- Monitor system user activities and report security or access violations.
- Manage software backups and perform restoration when required.
- Coordinate with IT teams to resolve network and virtual machine issues.
- Troubleshoot communication issues between Niagara and connected equipment/devices.
- Configure Niagara machine IP addressing and server communication ports.
- Perform system optimization, fine-tuning, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain SQL database scripts and configurations for reporting requirements.
- Maintain related IT equipment, including servers, workstations, and JACE controllers.
- Address security alerts raised by Operations and IT departments.
- Support system expansion projects and ensure vendor/contractor compliance.
- Maintain Niagara system configurations and graphics accuracy.
- Conduct audits and inspections of automation systems.
- Develop software solutions to improve system performance and daily operations.
- Prepare monthly system status reports and performance/statistics dashboards.
- Coordinate with software developers and relevant departments on automation-system requirements.
- Manage TRIDIUM SMA agreements , including software patches, bug fixes, and version upgrades.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of overall relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with Niagara platform-based Building Automation Systems.
Knowledge of Niagara4 Java and HTML5 implementation.
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Knowledge of security systems such as:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Lighting Control Systems
- Power Monitoring Systems
Strong problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
Knowledge of Energy Conservation.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
