CT/X-Ray Tech Part Time

Weekend only job! 7 AM - 7 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages time appropriately, determines priorities, follows chain of command.
• Displays a positive attitude, respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
• Responds to patient/family requests in a timely manner to promote patient satisfaction. Intervenes in a timely manner.
• Maintains professional appearance, adheres to dress-code policy.
• Works independently as well as a team member, assists co-workers and/or other departments / areas as needed.
• Reviews/adheres to hospital/unit Policies and Procedures.
• Responds to physician requests promptly, works proactively to provide department services or assistance.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and
• repeating procedure.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
• Assess factors that may contraindicate the procedure, such as medications,
• insufficient patient prep, pregnancy or artifacts.
• Reviews the patient’s chart and/or order and verifies physician request and appropriate diagnosis for exam.
• Ensures procedural requirements are in place prior to the patient exam
• (aprons, contrast, fluoro, tray, supplies, etc).
• Utilizes permanent markers on films indicating left / right.
• Monitors and ensures the safety and comfort of the patient during exams.

MUST HAVES:

• Two (2) year certificate, associate degree and/or baccalaureate degree.
• ARRT Certification - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology in KY
• CT Experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
