_Material Handler I_

_Sandersville, GA Full-Time On-Site Manufacturing $18/hr_

_ABOUT THE ROLE_

_This is a hands-on role at the center of plant operations. As a Material Handler I, you'll be responsible for the_

_safe loading and unloading of railcars, tank trucks, trailer trucks, and vans carrying raw materials and chemical_

_products. You'll also play a key role in packaging and labeling finished goods -- making sure the right product_

_gets to the right place, every time._

_WHAT YOU'LL DO_

_• Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, trailers, totes, and drums of raw materials_

_• Transfer and package finished products into totes, drums, or pails per customer orders; label and placard_

_accordingly_

_• Operate a forklift safely; perform daily forklift inspections_

_• Pull and stage raw materials for production; assist in raw material make down_

_• Support mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance tasks_

_• Maintain plant and office housekeeping standards_

_• Sign paperwork for outgoing shipments_

_• Assist with end-of-month inventory counts_

_• Participate in monthly safety meetings; wear required PPE at all times_

_• Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies_

_• Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS)_

_• Obtain and maintain US DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification_

_• Perform additional duties as assigned by Production and Maintenance Supervisors_

_WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR_

_Required_

_• High school diploma or equivalent_

_• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs_

_• Ability to safely operate a forklift_

_• Good verbal and written communication skills_

_• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite_

_• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)_

_• Must pass company pre-employment physical and drug screen_

_Preferred_

_• 2+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or warehousing_
