Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.
We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.
We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.
Fuse designs its own residential energy hardware (chargers, batteries, panels and more), manufactured by partners around the world. In this role you'll own that supply chain end to end: turning our designs into manufactured product at the right cost, quality and volume by selecting and managing the contract manufacturers who build it.
Responsibilities
- Source, qualify and manage the contract manufacturers who build Fuse-designed hardware globally
- Own landed cost across BOM and component cost, tooling and NRE, logistics, unit pricing and volume tiers, from factory gate to deployment
- Secure supply and build resilience across lead times, capacity, dual-sourcing, logistics and inventory, in partnership with Operations
- Work with engineering on manufacturing standards, certifications and acceptance criteria so quality and compliance are built in at source
- Negotiate and manage manufacturing agreements, including tooling ownership, IP protection, payment and warranty terms
- Partner closely with the Hardware/Product and engineering teams through design-for-manufacture and into production ramp
Requirements
- Procurement, supply-chain or sourcing experience in hardware, electronics or manufactured physical products
- Hands-on experience managing contract manufacturers globally
- Strong grasp of BOM cost, tooling and NRE, landed cost and the commercial mechanics of contract manufacturing
- Comfortable working alongside product and engineering through DFM and production ramp
- Organised and resilient, comfortable owning the day-to-day of supplier and supply-chain management
- Bonus: consumer electronics, automotive, energy hardware or power-electronics manufacturing; EV charger, battery, inverter or solar product supply chains; international logistics, customs, tooling ownership and IP protection in manufacturing contracts
Benefits
- Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
- Biannual bonus scheme
- Fully expensed tech to match your needs
- Private health insurance
- Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees
