Spanish Language Instructor
Location: U.S. Consulate General Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Position Type: Contract / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (as scheduled)
Tasks:
- Teach Spanish language classes in person
- Help students improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing
- Teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced students
- Prepare simple lesson plans
- Use books or learning materials during class
- Track student attendance
- Give basic feedback on student progress
- Conduct short assessments to determine student level
- Adjust lessons based on student learning needs
- Follow U.S. Consulate security rules
Required Qualifications:
- Native or near-native Spanish speaker
- Experience teaching Spanish to adults
- Good communication skills
- Ability to teach in person in Monterrey
- Able to pass U.S. Consulate security screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Spanish, education, or linguistics
- Experience teaching professionals or government staff
- Language teaching certification
