_POSITION SUMMARY: _
We are currently looking for an entry-level Accounting Assistant to join our Corporate Finance and Accounting team. The Accounting Assistant will support a variety of corporate accounting functions, with an emphasis on Accounts Payable. The Accounting Assistant will be located in Maine, preferably within commuting distance to our Hallowell, Maine headquarters office. Other responsibilities include journal entry posting, depositing checks to the bank, accounts receivable posting, account reconciliations, assisting with annual audit documentation collection as well as other clerical and accounting duties as necessary. In addition, he/she will be cross-trained on a variety of accounting functions to serve as a backup to other finance staff when needed.
_This is an entry-level position, ideal for a recent college or technical school graduate. _

The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
_LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT_ : The primary location of this position is hybrid, at least 1 day per week in the Hallowell, ME office, with the remainder of time worked in a home-based office free from distractions.
_PAY GRADE:_ Grade 2 (Maine pay range: $42,000-$53,000, non-exempt).
