Personal Care Aide/Home Health Aide

Seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health/Personal Care Aide to provide high-quality care for a client in a home setting. The ideal dependable candidate will assist the client with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.\
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and vacuuming the client’s bedroom.
• Prepare clients for doctor appointments and other close-to-home outings.
• Prepare simple meals according to the client’s dietary needs.
• Monitor the client’s basic health, including checking pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
• Assist client with prescribed exercises and medication administration.
• Help with changing bandages, dressing wounds, offering massages, and caring for skin. The client has a wound nurse.
• Maintain accurate care records and document any changes in the client’s health or behavior.
• Ensure medications are taken as prescribed by a Nurse or Physician.
• Build rapport with clients by establishing personal connections, showing empathy, and providing emotional support.
• Respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns as they arise.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal aide, or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR certification is a bonus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others is mandatory.
• Must be dependable, reliable and trustworthy.
• Background check required.
• Consistent spilt shifts are an option.
