JOB PURPOSE

To ensure that all Health and Fitness Club areas are serviced to the agreed presentation and high standards of the Hotel, throughout the day and evening. To live to and embody the values, mission, vision and purpose of the Midlands Park Hotel.

MAIN DUTIES

• To ensure that all Health and Fitness Club areas, gym, pool areas receive service to the agreed standard.
• To inspect carpets, furnishings, equipment, and fittings daily to check they are clean and in good repair.
• To establish and maintain good working relations with all the other employees of the department.
• To ensure the correct standards of hygiene, appearance and behaviour are adhered to.
• To be fully aware of and adhere to fire precautions and fire evacuation procedures.
• To wear the appropriate uniform, and to adhere to dress and appearance standards.
• To ensure Health and Fitness Club corridors, stairs and cleaning room are always clean and tidy.
• To take reasonable care to ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
• To report any physical condition that is deemed unsafe or potentially unsafe.
• To assist with any other reasonable duties as directed.

• Previous experience in a hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the _Department_ Manager and Manager on Duty.
• Works closely with colleagues across the Health & Fitness Department and wider hotel team.
• Supports the overall guest experience through effective communication and teamwork.

Key Areas of Responsibility

_Guest Service Excellence_

• Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are seated promptly.
• Present menus and provide guests with information regarding food and beverage offerings.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Deliver food and beverages safely and professionally while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Assist guests with any queries, requests or special requirements.
• Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business.

_Quality & Standards_

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene throughout all Health & Fitness areas.
• Be observant during service to ensure quality and presentation meet guest expectations.
• Assist in resolving any guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Report guest feedback and service issues to the Manager on Duty.

_Health, Safety & Compliance_

• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, hotel policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure all work is carried out in a hygienic and safe manner.
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards within all service areas.
• Participate fully in all mandatory training programmes.
• Support a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.

_Teamwork & Communication_

• Foster positive working relationships within the Health & Fitness Department and across the hotel.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth service operations.
• Promote a positive team culture and lead by example through professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Demonstrate and uphold the Vision, Mission and Values of Midlands Park Hotel.
