Job Description

Position Overview

The Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts based on engineering and architectural specifications. This role supports project teams by converting concepts into accurate, clear, and compliant drawings used for construction, fabrication, and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Drawings — Produce detailed 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Project Coordination — Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify design requirements.
• Site Measurements — Conduct site visits to collect measurements and verify existing conditions.
• Drawing Revisions — Update drawings based on feedback, design changes, and technical reviews.
• Documentation Control — Maintain organized drawing files, version control, and project documentation.
• Compliance Checks — Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, codes, and company guidelines.
• Material Take-offs — Prepare BOQs and material lists when required.
• Quality Assurance — Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Drafting , Engineering , Architecture , or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , SolidWorks , or similar drafting tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods , MEP systems , or manufacturing processes (depending on industry).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings , specifications , and engineering notes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of building codes is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years of drafting experience in construction, MEP, civil, architectural, or industrial sectors.
• Experience preparing shop drawings , as-built drawings , and fabrication drawings.
