Conversation Designer

Quippy (YC F26) is a daily practice room for the conversations people dread. You pick a real situation, like disagreeing with your manager or starting a conversation at a party, rehearse it with a realistic scene partner by voice or text, and get honest, line-by-line feedback on what landed. The app is live on the App Store.

Every practice session in Quippy is a small scene: a situation, a partner with a personality, and feedback at the end. You will write and shape those scenes, and decide what good feedback sounds like.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

• Write practice scenarios drawn from real life, like asking for a raise or making a new friend

• Create scene partners with distinct voices who react like real people

• Shape the feedback so it is honest, specific, and easy to act on

• Test scenes with users and rewrite what does not land

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF

• You write dialogue that sounds like people actually talk

• You come from theater, improv, games, screenwriting, coaching, or teaching, or you have writing to show

• You notice the small moves that change how a conversation goes

• You like editing your own work as much as writing it
