Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding systems to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services.
Responsibilities
\- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
\- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
\- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
\- Utilize medical billing software to process claims
\- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or appeals
\- Maintain patient billing records and update as necessary
\- Stay current on insurance guidelines, regulations, and industry changes
Qualifications
\- Proficiency in ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding systems
\- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
\- Experience in medical billing and collections
\- Familiarity with electronic medical records system ATHENA
\- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
\- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Job Types: Full-time Employee or Contract
Pay: $40,000 to $55,000 Salary
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift (9:00AM - 5:00PM)
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
