Founded in 2017 in New York, TESO Group is an Asian-inspired lifestyle retail company bringing premium Asian products and culture to the U.S. market. With brands including TESO LIFE, TESO X, and TESO Mini, we offer a curated mix of beauty, snacks, home goods, and trendy collectibles—delivering quality, value, and a unique shopping experience.
**Position Overview**
The Full-Stack Developer builds and guards the company’s in-house systems, maintaining TESO Dock, TESO Dashboard, and TESO Tools in production while building new systems and features per roadmap priorities.
This role is more than writing code: it owns the stability, release quality, and technical debt of the in-house systems as the store network scales.
**Job Responsibilities**
1\. **Production-system maintenance**
- Take over maintenance and iteration of TESO Dock (replenishment/procurement/supplier portal), TESO Dashboard (group ops platform), and TESO Tools.
- Build docs, monitoring, and on-call rotation to remove single-maintainer risk.
2\. **Roadmap development**
- Build the product tax management system, automated KPI dashboards, ticketing system, and HRIS modules per P0/P1 priorities.
- Contribute to the in-house POS prototype and TESO Store pilot evaluation.
3\. **AI-driven development**
- Drive requirement breakdown, code generation, testing, and refactoring with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot), materially raising delivery speed.
- Build the team’s AI development workflow (vibe coding), prompt library, and usage standards; evaluate and adopt new tools.
4\. **Engineering quality**
- Follow coding standards, reviews, CI/release process — AI-generated code goes through the same review and test gates.
- Write tests and docs; control technical debt.
5\. **Business collaboration**
- Clarify and break down requirements with the manager and stakeholders.
- Follow adoption feedback and fix defects post-launch.
**Education**
Bachelor’s degree or above; computer science or software engineering preferred.
**Professional Experience**
3+ years in full-stack development; experience inheriting and improving existing codebases preferred.
**Knowledge & Skills**
Masters the full SDLC (requirements, design, build, test, deploy, operate); TypeScript/JavaScript and Python; Next.js/React, Node.js, PostgreSQL; REST APIs and cloud deployment (AWS); proficient in vibe-coding workflows and AI coding assistants (any of Claude Code/Cursor/GitHub Copilot) with hands-on AI-driven development experience.
**Core Competencies**
Highly accountable; comfortable taking over legacy code; fast business comprehension; embraces AI-driven development and uses tooling to multiply output.
**Compensation**
- $110,000-$140,000 per year
- Quarterly Performance Bonus: This position is eligible for a quarterly performance-based bonus, subject to the eligibility requirements, performance criteria, and terms of the Company's bonus program.
**Benefits**
- 401(k) & 401(k) matching - subject to the eligibility requirements
- Paid Sick Leave
- Employee discount
- Health insurance
- Paid Time Off
**Job Type: Full-time (On-Site)**
