ASL Interpreters - 1099

TE is looking for contract ASL interpreters to work up to five days a week on our

busy government contracts!

​Minimum guaranteed hours and competitive rates!

On site and VRI capability required.

Three years of professional ASL interpreting experience and RID certified is preferable

CURRENT GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS

• Department of Education (ED)

• Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

• General Services Administration (GSA)

• Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

• National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

• Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

• Transportation Security Agency (TSA)

Requirements

**_Background check is required_ and the interpreters will be compensated for this effort.

Therefore, once you receive your Background Investigation final approval letter you will be paid compensation of $150 for completing the IRS security clearance process.

Additional Requirements:

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills

• Able to provide accurate interpretation

• Understanding of Deaf culture

• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct

• Three to five years of experience in interpreting (preferred but not required)

• As applicable, state licensure or state-required credentials

• Must pass the company's interpreting skills assessment

• You must be 18 years or older to apply.
