Mill Engineer / Cadet Mill Engineer (Yee Lee Palm Oil Industries Sdn. Bhd.) - Bidor, Perak

JOB SCOPE:

1\. Process and Production Management

• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee production processes, address quality issues, and assist in steam plant and wastewater treatment operations.

2\. Maintenance and Equipment Oversight

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and policies.
• Supervise workshop staff, contractors, and ensure proper functioning of all mechanical and electrical equipment.

3\. Inventory and Laboratory Operations

• Manage inventory levels, engineering stores, and ensure stock availability.
• Conduct and oversee product quality tests, equipment calibration, and maintain lab standards.

4\. Environmental and Safety Compliance

• Oversee effluent treatment, environmental reporting, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Maintain workplace safety and a clean working environment.

5\. Team and Resource Coordination

• Mobilize manpower, supervise team activities, and ensure operational goals are met efficiently.
• Provide support in training and guiding team members.

6\. Reporting and Continuous Improvement

• Monitor and report on production, maintenance, and quality performance.
• Implement improvements and ensure compliance with management systems like ISO 9001 and MSPO SCCS.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related fields).
• Fresh graduates in related fields are encouraged to apply; a minimum of 1-year experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, MSPO SCCS, and safety standards (training will be provided if needed).
• Hands-on experience or internship in manufacturing or production is beneficial.
• Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
