Jobs at AppDirect

What AppDirect's application asks

Across the 4 application forms Otto has filled at AppDirect: 26 distinct questions, 13 of them usually required. A single application works out at about 15 minutes once you have your details to hand. It runs on Greenhouse.

8 are AppDirect’s own, not boxes every form has:

• what are your salary expectations? / quelles sont vos attentes salariales?
• what is your experience with data build tool (dbt)? pouvez-vous me décrire votre expérience avec data build…
• when would you be available to start if selected? / quand seriez-vous disponible pour commencer si vous êtes…
• are you based in montreal? / êtes-vous basé(e) à montréal?
• are you legally authorized to work in canada for any employer?/ êtes-vous légalement autorisé(e) à travailler…
• end date month
• start date month
• will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status? / aurez-vous besoin, maintenant…

Read off the forms themselves, last checked 2026-09-22, because Otto fills them in and has to read them first. Roles differ, so the estimate is per application rather than for the list above: each question counts for its cost times how often this employer actually requires it. A written answer is 2½ minutes, a dropdown 12 seconds, a yes/no 5 seconds, attaching a file 45 seconds. The list leaves out name-and-email boxes and anything Greenhouse puts on every employer’s form.
