📋 Job Summary

A Cashier’s primary role is to assist customers throughout their in-store shopping and check-out process. Main duties include ringing up sales, requesting price checks, honoring discounts, collecting payments, and issuing appropriate change. This role is responsible for the complete accuracy of the cash register drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, as well as managing receipts, records, and withdrawals. Additionally, the Cashier helps maintain store presentability, assists with inventory tracking, handles phone and online inquiries, and actively promotes company products and payment plans.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

💵Cashiering & Transaction Management: Handle cash, credit, or check transactions; issue correct change and receipts; count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate balances.

🛍️ Sales & Customer Engagement: Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude; resolve customer complaints, answer inquiries (in-person, online, or via phone), make sales referrals, and actively cross-sell/up-sell products.

📊 Financial Record-Keeping: Enter transactions into the Daily Transaction Ledger; maintain weekly/monthly sales reports, spreadsheets, cash flow, and expenses; update receivables and Petty Cash Fund (PCF) monitoring.

💳 Account & Installment Monitoring: Post all installment payments on customer indexes, check indexes regularly, follow up on monthly dues, and create repossession or overdue notices for delayed balances.

📦 Inventory & Floor Support: Assist in inventory counts; ensure pricing is correct; check supplies, delivery receipts, and stock transfer receipts; maintain branch cleanliness and supervise items to prevent theft.

📱 Marketing & Innovation: Consistently post promotions, products, and services daily on official social media accounts; suggest ways to improve sales (e.g., store design, marketing activities) and offer process recommendations.

⚙️ Operations & Compliance: Cash out through the proper channel at the end of every shift; strictly comply with company policies; assist other store employees as needed; and perform other duties as assigned.

🎓 Qualifications

🎓Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate’s degree or higher is a major plus.

⏳ Experience: Preferably at least 6 months of work-related experience in cash handling, retail, or customer service.

🛠️ Technical Skills: Basic mathematical skills and basic computer literacy are strict requirements. Familiarity with managing spreadsheets and digital ledgers is highly preferred.
