Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

Weekends: No Weekends

Salary: $115,000–$145,000 per year

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services – Registered Nurse to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for perioperative services. This leader will oversee quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, financial performance, physician relationships, staffing, and service line growth while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Acute Care Director of Surgical Services experience.
• Candidates with several years of recent Operating Room Nurse Manager experience at a large Level I or Level II Trauma Center will also be considered.
• Current Florida RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License required.
• Strong leadership experience in surgical/perioperative services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, improve operations, and partner effectively with physicians and hospital leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of Surgical Services operations.
• Lead quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Direct staffing, labor management, budgeting, and resource utilization.
• Improve patient throughput and operational efficiency.
• Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to grow service lines.
• Develop leaders, mentor managers, and strengthen employee engagement.
• Oversee capital equipment and supply management.
• Drive strategic planning, process improvement, and patient experience initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across perioperative services.
