Team Lead / Senior Engineer CDP

_Role Overview_

_We are looking for a Senior Engineer / Team Lead to guide and support a distributed development team in building scalable, reliable systems. This role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership, ensuring high-quality delivery while fostering a strong engineering culture._

_You will work closely with the Technical Product Lead (TPL), Principal Architect (PA) , Product owner (PO) and Product Director (PD) to translate user/ business requirements and technical direction into execution, while coaching engineers and maintaining delivery momentum across a remote setup._

_Key Responsibilities_

• _Technical Leadership_ _

Lead by example through hands-on development, setting standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability._

• _Team Guidance & Mentorship_ _

Support and mentor engineers in a remote environment, helping them grow technically and professionally. Provide regular feedback and foster ownership within the team._

• _Execution & Delivery_ _

Own the day-to-day execution of work. Ensure tasks are well understood, properly scoped, and delivered on time._

• _Collaboration with PO & PD_ _

Work closely with the Product owner and product director on business requirements and translate/ refine this into epic and user stories._

• _Collaboration with TPL & PA_ _

Work closely with the Technical Product Lead and Principal Architect to implement architectural decisions and refine technical approaches._

• _Code Reviews & Best Practices_ _

Enforce high engineering standards through code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices._

• _Scalable System Design_ _

Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, distributed systems._

• _Kubernetes & Infrastructure Awareness_ _

Guide the team in building and operating applications in a Kubernetes-based environment, ensuring reliability and scalability._

• _Remote Team Operations_ _

Facilitate effective communication, clarity, and collaboration within a fully or partially remote team._

_Required Skills & Experience_

• _Strong Software Engineering Background_ _

Extensive experience building backend systems in a modern programming language (Go is a strong plus, not a requirement)._

• _Leadership Experience_ _

Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers, preferably in a remote or distributed team setup._

• _Distributed Systems Knowledge_ _

Solid understanding of scalable architectures, APIs, and system integrations._

• _Kubernetes Familiarity_ _

Experience with containerized applications and a good understanding of Kubernetes concepts and operations._

• _Pragmatic Problem Solving_ _

Ability to balance speed and quality, making practical decisions in complex environments. Propose different options to Product owner, to come to the best impact-effort solution. _

• _Communication Skills_ _

Clear and effective communicator, able to align team members and collaborate across roles._

_Nice to Have_

• _Experience with Golang in production environments_
• _Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., messaging systems)_
• _Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code_
• _Exposure to high-throughput or data-intensive systems_
• _Experience with AI to optimize workflow and in solutions towards end users. _
