The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Senior Training Engineer | Ανώτερος Μηχανικός Εκπαίδευσης”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Senior Survey Engineer of the Technical Services department in Mavres Petres.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the technical training framework, standards, competency models, and guidelines for training design and delivery.
- Develop, review, and submit the annual training plan for Kassandra Mines to the relevant authorities.
- Act as the legal representative before the Mining Authorities.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate Training Engineers, allocating responsibilities and supporting team development.
- Oversee the development and regular update of technical training programs and materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Approve critical and safety-related training programs.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, HSE, and other departments to identify operational training needs and competency gaps.
- Develop and maintain competency matrices and certification schemes, including operator certification.
- Monitor workforce competency levels and training effectiveness through defined KPIs.
- Participate in incident investigations to identify training gaps and support corrective actions.
- Introduce best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in technical training.
- Support the adoption of digital learning and modern training methods.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
- 8–12 years of proven experience in mining or heavy industry environments, with 3–5 years in training, technical leadership, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of mining operations and technical training requirements.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and curriculum development.
- Experience in training effectiveness evaluation and competency development.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning technologies.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Strong technical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
