AWS Data Engineer – Databricks

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Databricks Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize large-scale data processing systems on Databricks , ensuring efficient data flow and seamless integration across platforms. You will work cross-functionally with other data professionals and business stakeholders to drive our data strategy and execution.

Years of Experience Required

• Minimum 7+ years in data engineering or related field
• At least 3+ years hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Compensation: $39/hr on 1099

Technical Skills

• SQL (advanced)
• Python / PySpark (proficient)
• Strong background in ETL , data warehousing , and big data technologies
• AWS Cloud experience, including Redshift and RDS
• Databricks Lake experience
• Experience using Apache Airflow for orchestration
• Strong knowledge of data engineering best practices

Leadership & Collaboration

• Proven ability to lead development teams
• Strong mentorship and project management skills
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical teams
