Job Summary_

_The Junior -Intermediate Piping/Mechanical Designer supports the design and development of piping systems and mechanical layouts for energy projects. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, this role contributes to the preparation of design deliverables, ensures compliance with applicable codes and standards, and assists in optimizing system performance, constructability, and safety. The position offers progressive responsibility based on experience, from assisting with basic design tasks to independently developing detailed design packages._

_Key Responsibilities_

_Design & Drafting_

• _Develop 2D and 3D piping and mechanical designs, layouts, and models._
• _Prepare general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and fabrication details._
• _Assist in equipment layout and piping routing in coordination with other disciplines._

_Project Coordination_

• _Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure integrated design solutions._
• _Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and coordination meetings._
• _Incorporate feedback and resolve design clashes or interferences._

_Technical Support_

• _Apply relevant codes, standards, and specifications in design work._
• _Support the development of material take-offs (MTOs) and bill of materials (BOMs)._
• _Assist in preparing design documentation, reports, and calculations as required._

_Quality & Compliance_

• _Ensure designs meet company quality standards and project requirements._
• _Conduct self-checks and participate in peer reviews of design deliverables._
• _Maintain proper document control and revision tracking._

_Continuous Improvement_

• _Contribute to improving design processes, tools, and workflows._
• _Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices._

_Qualifications & Skills_

• _Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field._
• _Experience:___
• _Junior: 0 -3 years of relevant experience _
• _Intermediate: 4 -9 years of relevant experience _
• _Proficiency with industry-standard 2D drafting and 3D modeling software (platform-agnostic)._
• _Basic to intermediate understanding of piping design principles, mechanical systems, and layout development._
• _Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., piping, pressure systems, and safety standards)._
• _Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and P &IDs. _
• _Strong attention to detail and organizational skills._
• _Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a multidisciplinary environment._
• _Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines._
• _Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning._
